Pernilla Wahlgren Design's autum collection in collaboration with the retail gigant Gekås Ullared wants to high-light the importance of women's health and well-being by a donation to Team Power Woman Athletic Club, founded by Power Woman's founder Anna Wretling.
The sports organisation Team Power Woman Athletic Club was founded in 2018 by Anna Wretling, who is also the founder of Power Woman. Anna's vision and mission is to establish a global training community of Power Women, that by giving support and inspiration help each other to reach the goals for each and everyone. For some that could be to make a full length triathlon, for another it could be to take a daily walk in the park. Since 2022 the sports organisation Team Power Woman Athletic Club have had an extremely rapid growth to currently plus 3000 team members. In 2021 Team Power Woman Athletic Club was the team globally, that had the highest female participation in Ironman races.
“My vision has always been to work for improving women's health and well-being, both mentally and physically. I believe we are better off taking on challenges in life if we live a sustainable life. For me, it has always been important to help, give support and encourage others to start training or just maintain the training since training really made a tremendous difference in my life. My goal with Power Woman is so much bigger than just sports apparel. Together we create a community where everyone is welcome and where the mission is to support and encourage each other. It doesn't matter if you are a professional or a beginner - the only rule we have is to be kind, to our selves and to others”, says Anna Wretling.
That Pernilla Wahlgren Design in collaboration with Gekås Ullared has chosen to give attention to Team Power Woman Athletic Club buy donating parts of the sales revenue, Anna and Team Power Woman Athletic Club, sees a yet another proof that the sports organisation Team Power Woman Athletic Club is filling a purpose in society. More and more women choose endurance sports such as running, cycling or swimming. But for many women it is still not comfortable enough to join one of the more established teams, that often is focusing a lot on performance and results. Besides that, many of the teams is only active within a sport - e.g. running, cycling or swimming. Team Power Woman is rather unique in that sense that the sports organisation is both acting locally but also globally and within all types of endurance sports. With this unique setup the team can create a huge network for knowledge and motivation that can be shared with many more.
Many women train alone but if you are going for a long-trail in the forest or if you would like to swim in open-water, you need technique and companionship. This is one of the functions that Team Power Woman Athletic Club can have - to connect women locally and globally so they can organize their daily training, find coaches specialized on female endurance training or just find support and share knowledge and experience. The Team Power Woman Athletic Club is a strong source for knowledge from how to fix the bike gear or switch tires, how to pack the triathlon bag before a race or how to train best according to the female bio-cycle.

About Anna Wretling and Power Woman
Anna Wretling is the ultra-athlete that started to train for the first time in her life at the age of 38.
