I have been lucky enough to swim since November in private facilities but my job has really gotten in the way.
In order not to lose motivation there, I have tried to find other ways forward, such as creating a lecture and having to make the best of the situation.
Could have put down everything and myself but you become a bit of a certified bad ass. For those who do not have access to a pool right now, you can:
- Focus on training and testing on other things - Keeping going is important for body and bud. Starting something gives motivation, not the other way around.
- Do swimming-specific land training, both strength and mobility - there are lots of good things online
- Set micro goals, everything small gathers together into something good and bigger
- Immerse yourself in swimming theory (perhaps Simcoach’s new technology lecture?) - knowledge of “why” makes it easier to understand all the “what” and “how”.
