To be able to enjoy outdoor activities such as running, swimming, and cycling, and to enjoy training with a clear conscience, we need to take care of our planet. Power Woman actively works to make conscious choices when developing our products, and we uphold what has always been a fundamental principle for our products - garments of high quality, tailored for a long lifespan and many intense workouts.

Activewear with a long lifespan

The most important thing we can do for sustainability is to manufacture garments that remain in active use for a long time. We always strive to choose the best fabrics suitable for training under various conditions. We prioritize selecting the right fabric for the right product - sometimes the fabric should breathe, sometimes provide warmth, sometimes withstand chlorinated water, sometimes be as lightweight as possible. Just like the fabric, we also want the details, zippers, prints, drawstrings etc. to be functional and last as long as the garment.

Thanks to our high quality standards, we have few returns or manufacturing defects. But if a garment were to be damaged, we prioritize repairing it - in other words, restoring the garment's vitality and ensuring its lifespan is extended.

Conscious choices in the design process

We are constantly exploring new innovative materials that reduce environmental impact, and choose, for example, recycled polyester when possible. We continuously identify areas where we can improve and set new goals. Our focus is on designing garments with a long lifespan and high quality that can withstand an active lifestyle. We produce small quantities to minimize overproduction and excess inventory.

Your contribution is important

We promise to do our utmost to design garments with care from start to finish. But to truly maximize a garment's lifespan, we also need you as a customer. Here are some tips to extend the lifespan of your garments:

  • Follow the care instructions for each garment. Swimwear used in chlorinated water should be machine washed after each use to remove the chlorine that can otherwise bleach the fabric. Other garments only need to be washed when dirty - avoid unnecessary washes and always fill the washing machine.
  • Do not tumble dry your activewear. Tumble drying can damage the fabric's elasticity and cause more wear on the material, as well as release microplastics. Most workout clothes dry quickly if air-dried, and avoiding the tumble-dryer also saves energy.
  • Do not use fabric softener as it can damage the textile properties of functional clothing.

Enable a circular economy

Of course, we want you to use your Power Woman garments for as long as possible and for them to be an active part of your workout wardrobe for many years.
